An important role of UnitingCare NSW.ACT is to support and resource congregations, services and UnitingCare agencies in the planning, development and management of community services. Many resources have been developed by experienced services across the network and can be invaluable when a congregation is concerned about local needs and/or thinking about establishing a particular service. Existing services may wish to move into new program areas or services/congregations may want advice on tackling service management issues.
For more information on congregation based community services please contact Kathy Bowe, Community Services Consultant on (02) 8267 4279 or kathyb@nsw.uca.org.au
UnitingCare NSW.ACT is hosting an inaugural conference for Uniting Church congregational auspiced and operated community welfare services throughout NSW and the ACT.
The main purpose of the conference is to provide an opportunity for the community welfare services, managed by Uniting Church congregations and missions across NSW and the ACT, to come together to explore issues of mutual interest. UnitingCare is keen to learn more about these services and to hear about the issues impacting them on a day-to-day basis.
