Why start a social justice group in your congregation? Day by day we are battered by stories of injustice in our society. People are homeless or unemployed. There are arguments about how schools should be funded. We watch as land is denuded, rivers fail, or rubbish piles up. In some parts of the world, there is war, hunger, and violence.
