The overall distribution of funds is a decision of the Council of Synod. The funds kept within the NSW and ACT synod are administered by a committee of the UnitingCare NSW.ACT Board. In 2009 UnitingCare NSW.ACT distributed $183,544 from the 2% development fund to a number of different community groups and initiatives.

  • $66,372 - Christian Conference of Asia

Community Development Programs – NSW only

Small Grants Program
  • $5000 - House of Welcome  - towards employment costs for general maintenance and other services to clients
  • $8000 - AFTINET - to support application for campaign on the Pacific Agreement on Closer Economic Relations (PACER).
  • $4000 - Caringbah Craft and Activity Centre - to construct a disability access ramp.
  • $3800 - School of Discipleship  - to enable 20 students to attend a conference in Canberra.
Partner Program
  • $30,000 - Asian Women at Work -  towards a project to monitor government policy and program developments and assist Asian women to raise their voice in the discussions and debates around those issues.
